Site Manager for the Desfina area

Role Overview

The Site Manager is responsible for effectively organising, coordinating and supervising day-to-day site operations, ensuring that works progress smoothly in accordance with the schedule, technical specifications and Health, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements. The role involves close collaboration with project teams, contractors and other stakeholders, contributing to the timely resolution of technical and operational issues and the successful delivery of the project.

Responsibilities

• Assume overall responsibility for day-to-day site operations and organisation.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors and subcontractors.
• Monitor work progress and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure the implementation of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards.
• Supervise construction quality in accordance with designs and specifications.
• Participate in work planning and resource allocation.
• Monitor material and equipment deliveries.
• Conduct inspections and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, designers and consultants.
• Manage changes, technical modifications and project deviations.
• Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of the schedule, budget and progress reports.
• Review quantity measurements, payment certificates and contractors’ contractual obligations.
• Participate in project meetings and prepare progress, cost and risk reports.
• Monitor and implement QA/QC procedures and company policies.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5–8 years of experience in construction projects.
• Experience in photovoltaic or renewable energy projects is particularly desirable.
• Experience as a Site Manager, Construction Manager or Site Engineer.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office, MS Project and AutoCAD.
• Ability to read technical drawings, specifications and contracts.
• Good knowledge of HSE and QA/QC procedures.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple issues and meet project schedules.
• Excellent command of English.
• Availability to work and travel to construction sites throughout Greece.
